64 Days to Go

Lucy had her third blood transfusion this week. She also had her second head ultrasound. The results came back normal with no bleeding! We are so relieved! She also had her eyes checked for the first time today. Her eyes are still developing and she is still at risk for ROP which can cause vision loss. We are continuing to pray for her.
We have had a fun week so far. I have gotten to do Kangaroo Care with Lucy twice this week! Mark and I have also gotten to hold her outside her incubator! I loved every second and can't wait to hold her again. She has been handling her time outside of the incubator well. We have loved watching her give us "practice smiles" lately and loved hearing her tiny hiccups the other day. She is 2 lb. 11 oz.

Sweet Little Smile

Cute Little Yawn

Relaxing

First times being held outside her incubator.

I am so glad you got to hold her. Kangaroo care sounds like good medicine for the soul. A spoon full of sugar, really. Her hair looks so soft and cute. Cute headband, too! (on Lucy, not Mark)

I can't wait to hold her, too! She is looking really good. Sweet little thing!! It's amazing she hasn't had any brain bleeds - I hear those are really common. Keep it up Lucy-pants!

Wow, even as I'm posting this less than a month after you published it, Lucy has made huge strides. She has almost gained two whole pounds since then?! She is so sweet, Beth! YAY!
