Lucy's Homecoming

After waiting and waiting and waiting, Lucy finally came home!!! This special day came on National Premature Awareness day, Wednesday, November 17. She weighed 6 lb. 4 oz. and measured 18 1/4 inches long. As of Friday she was 6 lb. 12 oz. We couldn't have asked for a better Thanksgiving present than having Lucy home healthy. We are so grateful for this miraculous blessing.

Last couple of days in the hospital

I asked Mark to get the car seat ready to take Lucy home in. As you can tell, he took this seriously. :)

This is Lucy's primary care nurse, Karen. She has been an answer to our prayers. She really loved Lucy and I know Lucy will miss her.

This is Keith, another favorite nurse of Lucy's.

Getting ready to go--Lucy in her car seat for her first time.

Leaving the hospital--hopefully FOREVER!!!!!

Lucy with her NICU graduation certificate.

Walking in our house for the first time!!!!!!!!

Holding her in our house for the first time without any cords, tubes, and noise!!!!

Getting ready for her first bath at home

First walk outside

Hanging out at home and LOTS of sleeping

It was so fitting that Lucy came home just before Thanksgiving. We are so thankful for the amazing miracle of her life. She celebrated her first Thanksgiving with our friends Morgan and Chelsey.

Thanks for working so hard Lucy! We are so grateful that you are a part of our family and are finally home with us. We love you!
