It is hard for me to pinpoint a favorite age with Lucy because I always think each age is so fun. These past 5 months she has grown up into a mini person. She has become more independent and has her own ideas of what she wants to do and what she likes. This is the latest with Lucy:
She is a good little helper. One morning she found a bag of these little quotes I saved and dumped them all over the carpet. The next thing I knew she was trying to sweep them up with our kitchen broom.
Nap time has become very unpredictable. Sometimes she is a great little sleeper,
--sometimes in places I don't expect--

and sometimes she has a different agenda during nap time.
Once I came in and all of her clothes were off and there was nothing in her crib. She was just standing like this with a blanket on her head when I opened the door.

Another time I heard some clanging on her crib. I went in a couple of minutes later to find her sitting in her doll stroller inside her crib. She had reached through the bars to a stroller on the floor and managed to pull up the stroller over the railing.
Lucy loves to be with us. She is like my little shadow all day, following me around and trying to do what I am doing. One of the things she loves to do with me is sing songs and do hand games. She is frequently singing songs to herself too. A couple of days ago while I was in the kitchen, she found two pot lids, started banging them together, and sang Jingle Bells.
She also gets really excited when Mark comes home from work. Frequently the first thing she says to Mark is "swing higher" or "climb Daddy".

When Mark went outside to read one Sunday after church, Lucy quietly followed him out there and laid herself down on his blanket. She is so sweet. She loves when we let her lay on our shoulders and rub her back. We caught her doing it to one her stuffed animals the other day. :)

Speaking of stuffed animals, she still LOVES Elmo. We borrowed Elmo slippers from her cousin Hannah about six months ago. I haven't been able to return them because she wears them a couple times a day. They would be sorely missed if something happened to them.
Along with Elmo, she loves any stuffed animal that is soft and cuddly. While at my parents a couple of months ago, I found her on this little decorating chair watching her portable DVD player. She set it up perfectly on the couch so she and this little Valentine's bear could watch. :)
Lucy loves to eat berries with her breakfast. It can be pretty messy.

...or out of the tub.

I think Lucy might also enjoy brushing her teeth and flossing more than anyone I know.

Lucy also loves to dress herself. Her favorites include my soft socks,

her "pack pack",
my silky pajama pants--apparently only in one leg though--,

these pink shoes, anything that has a hood or hat,
and last of all a yellow shirt that we don't have. Apparently, I need to get her a yellow shirt because every time I ask what she want to wear she says "the yellow shirt?" (yes she knows what yellow is).
During the winter time, Lucy loved to go outside and walk around in the snow. She usually went out with one of her mini bowls and filled it with rocks or snow.
For a while now, Lucy has also been loving her tricycle.
She has gotten pretty good on it and can now ride over carpet, maneuver
around hallways, go backwards, and brake to a stop in a split second.
She often says "I'm riding fast!"
Last but not least, Lucy loves going to the playground. She asks me a couple of times everyday if we can go.

She has been asking even when it was too cold for me to walk around outside!
Swinging is her favorite at the park.
I feel so blessed that I get to stay home with Lucy everyday and enjoy her. I think she has the cutest and sweetest little brain. I love the things that come out of her mouth. I am so proud of how she is growing too. She is starting to speak in full sentences now, can count to twenty nine with a little help around number 15, knows all her colors and shapes, and can sing the whole ABC song. My favorite things she says is "syryup" for syrup, "tortitilla" for tortilla, "munkchip" for chipmunk, "soupcase" for suitcase, and "love you Mamma" as I tuck her into bed every night. A couple of days ago when eating she said "i am loving this!" and last night she told me and Mark, "I want to get married in the temple." I feel so lucky to be her Mamma!
