Feelin' the Love--February 2014

Our spare moments in February revolved around finding a house to live in St. George since we had to be out of our Cedar City place by March.  After searching all day one Saturday at "okay" options we ended at one that felt so homey and exciting!  It had a staircase that we loved,  was in a circle-like subdivision, had a park behind it, a church across the street, was unique to the ones around it, was on the pretty side of St. George, could fit our family that visited, and was in our price range.  We put down an offer and hoped to get it!
We stopped at the park behind our hopeful dream house one weekend to snap some pictures of our kids. I'm so glad we did because some of them are precious shots of them to me!

Another fun thing that happened in February was a visit from Cory and Julie. We had a great time playing tennis, going swimming, getting snow cones, going to the Pizza Factory, Pioneer Park, and the Parade of Homes!
We also took a trip to Salt Lake...
Enjoyed some rain...
and snow... (Yay!  Last time shoveling snow!)...
went to the Parade of Homes as a family where Lucy got her beloved "magic wand" and "crispy" that she has been wearing as a necklace...
and enjoyed our normal good times at home.

I think these last pictures wrap up our February very nicely.  Our family was feelin' the love that month!

Ringing in the New Year--January 2014

These were our "great moments" to kick off 2014!
Our biggest and greatest moment of the year started when Mark became the new owner of Premier Dental!  This meant moving to St. George!  We were sad to leave our precious life in Cedar City but couldn't complain about St. George and felt so blessed to have such a wonderful opportunity in Utah!  We both agreed that on the entire planet, St. George would be our first pick for places to live and raise a family.  We felt beyond blessed to have our dreams come true!  When Mark graduated from Nova, I remembered thinking, "If only there was an opportunity in St. George. That would be wonderful!"  I am still in awe, 9 months after moving here, that we ended up in our dream spot.  We are so blessed!

It's hard to beat that great moment but I still think these can qualify as great:

Lucy "helped me in the kitchen! Oh goodie! :/

Lucy became our newest "Dr. Baker" in the house!

Landon brought great peaceful moments as he slept like a baby. These pictures don't show this but I wanted to write it down because I think it so sweet that Landon loves to hold a part of his blanket or my shirt or anything that can fit in is tiny palm when he sleeps.

He brought many happy moments too!
Landon has been enjoying learning his voice even more.  I love his happy screams and sometimes it sounded like he says, "hi." or "Mom." when he talks to me.
Many of  these moments were spent on this play mat enjoyed by Landon and Lucy.  She insisted that she get a turn every time she saw Landon on there.

This bumbo seat was also a popular item during the month--for both of them. :)

My personal favorite moments of the new year were taking advantage of some of the warmer January days.
The snow didn't hold us back from enjoying the warmth of the sun!

Landon amazed me during the month by the way he got around on his tummy.  He learned his own kind of  crawl where he would stretch out his arms and then pull his body forward.  I was amazed because I would look down and he would be in a totally new spot and I would wonder, "What?  How did you get over there?!"

I also loved visiting Jenny, Jake, and my parents in Salt Lake...
and relished in these two being sweet with each other.  How could 2014 not be a wonderful year with these two cuties around?
