Lucy said to me out of the blue while I was putting on my makeup, "Mom, I am so happy that you are my mom." I gave her a hug and said, "Why are you so happy?" She responded,"Because you do the dishes and help people." That is the best Mother's Day present I could ask for.
Today is mother's day and my kids are the cutest. Lincoln woke up like usual and gave me a huge smile. Mark and Lucy surprised me with a cute paper they had filled out together. Mark asked Lucy questions about me and Mark wrote them down. Landon surprised me after nursery with a paper with swirly lines on it he had drawn for me. He also had a card that said Happy Mother's Day on it in his other hand. I asked him if the card was for me and he got an angry look on his face and said, "No, that's mine". Haha
Lincoln grabs his feet and tries to suck on them and rolls around. He is starting to get around on his tummy. He is the cutest little guy in the whole world and is always ready to give a smile to anyone who wants one. I love how he holds my finger while he sleeps if I give it to him. He has the most dramatic cry. Sometimes it sounds like he is in pain or really furious if he wants to be picked up. He has a high pitched scream and does it out of joy and sadness. I sometimes don't know if he is sad or playing. He entertained all the ladies at our Relief Society Presidency meeting because of his jibber jabber and happy screams and kicking his feet happily. He has the fluffiest little hair that sticks straight up no matter how I comb it. Risa said it was just like a "little baby chick".
Landon says after Lincoln gives a good burp, "Good one inken!"
He calls Lucy "oodie" and himself "Dandon".
He likes to be the same as other people. He sometimes says, "Just, like, mommy" then "Just, like, oodie" then "Just, like, Da--he", then Just, like, "Dandon" and then "Just, Like, Inken". He says it slow like that, with the pauses included, the t and k in just and like very clear, and points to each person.
He likes to cuddle his "guys" when he goes to sleep on his pillow next to him swaddled in blankets. These "guys" consist of one chosen toy or a stuffed animal. For example a car, a book, or his elephant.
He frequently says "Look Mama!" and "Is that cool?" and "Is that silly?" smiling really big with his squinty eyes. For example he said "I say roar! (makes a lion sound) Is that seawy?" He apparently thinks its a great thing to be silly and also thinks it's a funny thing if he toots. He also frequently says, "I toot Mama".
He loves to be chased and loves to be tickled.
He has the cutest giggle.
He still thinks life is a joke. When I try to put him in time out, he could care less. Many times when he is being naughty he tells me, "go time out".
He has a great vocabulary and says pretty much anything.I wish I could record everything he says because he says it so cute.
He also loves his tricycle and can peddle now.
When he is happy, sometimes he is does this bobble head thing where he nods his head about 5 times in a row quickly. He did it over and over when he made a good shot playing bowling with Mark.
He makes the funniest faces when he is concentrating. Sometimes he tucks his upper lip under his lower lip and holds it while he is thinking.
He is a great jumper. It is the cutest when he hops around.
He is a playaholic and especially loves the sandbox. He loves going to church so he can play in nursery. He cries if we start walking out if he can't go for some reason. He also loves going to Costco and asks during the week, "I aunt to go Cosco" or "I aunt to go church".
He loves to give kisses, especially to Lincoln. It is the cutest when we make him tell Lucy he is sorry, say I love you, and give her a kiss and a hug.
Lincoln and Lucy both talk so adorable to Lincoln. We were coming home from dropping Lucy off from preschool and Lincoln was crying. Usually Landon tells Lincoln, "It's too loud" in a worried voice and covers his ears. This time he said, "I know. I know Inken. I know." In a sweet voice. (Something I must have said to Lincoln while driving.)
Lucy said something so sweet after swimming. We were trying to lure Landon in
the car from the playground so I was fake driving away. Lucy was
worried we would leave him behind. She said, "No Mom, Landon is my favorite
friend." She is right. She would rather play with Landon any day than
anybody else. She frequently asks if Landon can come with her where she
is going and Landon frequently demands that he get to come where she is. He asks where she is many times while she is at preschool. They are
the best of friends.
Lucy still tells me things in the
cutest way possible. She is very expressive. She is so exuberant about
things and shows her excitement in her body language. If she is really
excited, she can't help bouncing around while she is talking. If she is
trying to show me how to do something she talks with her arms out and
drops them down again when she says things like this, "You just go like
this. She has such enthusiasm for life.
She had a nightmare last night about statues that were trying to get her. She was crying because I wasn't there to save her in her dream. I loved holding her to calm her down but I was sad I couldn't be there to save her in her nightmare.
Lucy is very interested in flying. She really wants to fly. She said, "Mom, would you ever have a flying suit you could climb me up to the sky...you could just put me in it and fly me up to the sky?" I was telling her about how in the scriptures it talks about the resurrection and how we get our bodies back and they are perfect and everything works and we won't get sick again and she says, "and...while be able to fly??"
I am so proud of the
little person she already is. She is sweet, tries to be a good friend,
is obedient, wants to help me, is daring about tricks, loves to swim
with goggles in the bathtub, loves to cuddle and be hugged, tries to be
friendly and kind with her cousins and preschool friends, hates scary
things, is a great artist, loves to color, gets frustrated when others
are naughty, and gets so excited about fun things coming up. She asks
me daily when her birthday is coming up. We count down with a chain we
made for our upcoming Disney trip so she can understand how much longer
the wait is. It is so fun to tell her about upcoming fun events because
she gets SO excited. I am amazed at how beautiful she is, how
handsome Landon is, and how adorable Lincoln is. They are beautiful
little people inside and out.

So glad you are documenting all this!
Landon is a great little talker! Max has to hold tons of toys in bed and wherever we go as well;). Such sweet nieces and nephews I have!
