Lucy on Christmas

Since it was just Mark and me, I tried to cut our yule log recipe in half. Unfortunately it didn't come out looking like a yule log so I turned it into a reindeer. Pretty sad looking, isn't it? :)

Christmas Walk at the Beach

Lucy gave us the best present for Christmas. She started smiling for real!

The birds have been crazy this year. There have been so many! This is a picture we took as we were about to go on a walk at the park. It reminded me of that Hitchcock movie "The Birds". I wasn't so sure I wanted to get out of the car after I saw all of them perched on the tree.

We also got to see the lunar eclipse during the break. I was pretty impressed with Mark's enthusiasm. I stumbled out of bed, opened the front door for a second, said "neat", then it was back to bed for me. Mark on the other hand, stayed up for most the night taking pictures and talking to our next door neighbor about space.

Now for the finale of the break...My parents and sister took a trip out to see us! We had so much fun and they were so helpful with Lucy.
BBQ at the Park

Mark, my parents, and Ang went to Seaworld and Busch Gardens. Yes without me--I was a little sad until I heard about all the scary roller coasters they made my mom go on.
Seaworld

Angelee petting the sting ray.

Busch Gardens
One of the many roller coasters these brave riders went on.

Mark with boy scout Big Bird? I never did find out what exactly he is wearing and why.

Seeing the Sunrise at the Beach
Lucy looked just like I felt.

One of Our Beach Days

The Everglades

This was the best alligator pile up I have ever seen. I think we counted eighteen in this one spot.
