Fort Lauderdale Boat Show

We did one of the funnest things yet in Fort Lauderdale. Downtown has canals running all through it so every year they decorate boats and put on a Christmas parade. We really lucked out this year because instead of having to search for a spot and watch it with hundreds of people we had front row seats, lots of food, friends, and plenty of space. My friend, Melanie is renting a house right on the canal so she invited Mark and me to watch it from her backyard. She and her husband got invited to two different parties (which meant we did too) that had tons of food. One was the owner's that she is renting from and the other was the Mayor of Fort Lauderdale's party, who lives next door to her. It was so much fun! We ate cookies, food, drank hot chocolate and egg nog and hung out.

How fun! I can't believe how different your life is than that of ours in humble Utah! The boat show looks, great!

Thank you for sharing this! I've been wanting to do more Christmasy things around here. I think I saw something about a live Nativity on Pine Island Rd., close to Sean & Amy's. That might be fun to try too.

Sorry I wasn't able to go to Emily's wedding shower :( I really wish I could have gone. I got the invitation late (the day of) and that morning I was taking gifts up to Ogden for a sub-for-santa. I hope it went well. Hopefully I'll see you at the reception in January. See ya and Happy New Year!

Beth... that looks like so much fun! I am glad you and Mark were able to do that! I am so glad that I saw you over Christmas break! Thank you so much for the cute baby gifts! I absolutely love those pj's... it will be fun to see her walking around in them. Thanks so much for your friendship!

Cool, Beth! and you said you had nothing to blog about, eh? nudge nudge. So I am still missing hanging out at mom's with you guys. Your much-too-kind comments on my blog don't make it much easier, either. What do you say we plan a trip to Big Lots, soon, eh? Let's say June 22nd. 10:00 am. Be there or be square.
